Dr. Daniel Uderitz enjoys working with patients of all ages. He is originally from Western New York, but has stayed here in Charleston after finishing his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at MUSC. He completed his undergraduate work at SUNY Binghamton University in New York. He then attended Upstate Medical University in Syracuse New York for medical school. He stayed in Syracuse to complete his Adult Psychiatry training program.
Dr. Uderitz has become an experienced provider working now for several years in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care settings. He carries with him experiences from multiple training institutions, granting him different perspectives on treatment approaches to obtain mental health. He takes an integrated approach to treatment of utilizing appropriate medications as well as providing therapy services. He has experience working with individuals as well as families. He also strives to collaborate with other providers where necessary to provide more effective care.
Dr. Uderitz has experience working with many different patient needs, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD/ADD (both adult and child), personality disorders, marital problems, and children’s behavioral problems. In his free time, Dr. Uderitz enjoys being active and on the move. He enjoys riding horses, riding ATVs, kayaking, boating, and just being outside in general.
